There is no truthiness whatsoever to the idle rumor that Unity has an "enemies list." We have no such thing. Anyone who implies we do is engaging in vile and scurrilous rumor-mongering.
Remember, Unity is a reliable source of truthiness. Count on Unity for all your truthiness needs.

Unity has no enemies. We embrace all of the union with open arms. We await the return of ICE, TJC, and the UTP as if a misguided and misinformed, prodigal son.
We have no enemies, even though we "actively seek chapter leadership positions particularly when they are held by opposition caucus members" (Unity "Membership Obligations," #11: see www.theutp.com). That doesn't mean we hope to establish a dictatorship. No, no, no. We encouage democracy as we wipe out every dissenting voice. We at Unity are here for you...if you're still here.
We here at Unity have no time for an "enemeez list" because we are too busy trying to screw up the rights of excessed teachers.

I once thought as those ICE, TJC and UTP people. I was a REAL enemy of Unity. A real malcontent. I was lost. I was forsaken. I was angry.
Who did I have to be angry at: Unity? No.
I was angry at myself.
Then, on the Belt Parkway one evening, I heard the voice of LGF. She called to me. "All is forgiven," she whispered. "Come and join us. There is room for you too."
I cried. I gnashed my teeth. I embraced Unity with open arms.
I am happy to serve on the contract committee. I am one of 300 people on that committee.
LGF says we will never negotiate extra time again! Isn't she wonderful. She promised it will never happen again. Oh, I know what you are saying...she promised that once before. But this time she said, "Read my lips!"
I will happily serve on this mission even if deep down I know I am spinning my wheels because she ruined us with the last contract and now she is trying to save face with our phony committee.
It's wonderful that the UFT has decided to include both arms of its machine on the commitee--Unity AND New Action.
Enemies list? Where is the housing list?
It's important to find housing for people who don't have jobs yet. The rest of you can keep sleeping in the parks.
