MONEY DOWN THE TOILET

The DOE will now fund the Leadership Academy so more morons can be principals. They will also spend $10 million marking the ELA. (It seems that Klein was upset that districts used to do it cost-effectively.)

They should take a financial page from Unity.

Remember when Le Gran Fromage spent $1 million for a curriculum guide. Now that was good thinking. It was going to be her greatest accomplishment. She was going to show those idiots how it should be done. Hacks like me were hired to put together what was supposed to be "the guide to end all guides!" Well I can tell you, I worked my butt off. (I now have a remodeled kitchen to prove it!) Then NYTeacher announced its debut. We were so excited that we put together such a costly guide-- and NOT one teacher on the face of this planet ever got a copy!

Did we realize we poured your dues money down the toilet?
Of course!
We have seen the error of our spending ways.
Why do you think we are working so hard to get you new toilets.?

Thank you, Unity, for pouring our dues money down the toilet. I realize you did it with the best of intentions and will continue voting for you regardless.

Thanks for that second pension. I love getting paid double for not working.

You wouldn't be losing all that money if we had a voucher system! We need to end the government education monoply so we can duplicate the great successes of the Bush administration.

If our dues were pooped, that's okay by me.

I am probably the only teacher to get the guide.

It is so rare, I am putting it on Ebay.

There is a horrible, sarcastic commercial crtiicizing Le Gran's salary at the UTP web site (http://www.theutp.com/). Make sure you do not watch it or let anyone else watch it. Efforts will be made to expunge this blight that has fallen upon us.

I'm gonna not watch that commercial right now! How dare they!

That commercial is a piece of shit and don't you dare watch it, or I'll know.

Get it, punks?

I have the guide and I use it all the time. It is a very useful tool for me. Have you ever tried to get a hold of a copy instead of just bitchin about it? I bet if you tried you could get one. But you really aren't interested in that. Just complaining. I think I will try to secure a second copy to see if it can be done.

When those teachers who read the NYTeacher (many others just throw it away or wrap fish with it) asked their reps for a copy, they were met by blank stares.

If we really wanted to give them out, every teacher would have gotten a copy!

The Bush administration is the government. How would we end the government monopoly of education if we handed the state monopoly over to a federal monopoly?

It's about time someone started talking about the issues!
